Resolved,
the House of _____ concurring, That
the Diocese of West Texas join with our Bishop in committing to accept and live within the framework of the WINDSOR REPORT 2004, recognizing our interdependence and responsibility as members of the Anglican Communion; and be it further
Resolved
, That the Diocese of West Texas urge the 75th General Convention of The Episcopal Church in the United States of America to reaffirm its constitutional obligation to continue a constituent member of the Anglican Communion, in communion with the See of Canterbury, through an unequivocal acceptance of and compliance with the findings and recommendations of the
WINDSOR REPORT 2004, recognizing the very real possibility and the dire consequences otherwise of “walking apart” from our sister churches in the Communion. [WINDSOR REPORT 2004, para.157].
