Resolved, the House of _____ concurring, That the Eighty Third Diocesan Convention of the Diocese of Upper South Carolina, meeting in Columbia, South Carolina, on October 21-22, 2005, receives, accepts, and endorses, the Windsor Report, and pledges to comply with its proposals and expectations; and be it further
Resolved, That this Convention express its collective desire to continue to walk with the Anglican Communion, acknowledging that we, as member of The Episcopal Church and of The Diocese of Upper South Carolina, are bound as constituent members to this Communion not just by “the bonds of common affection,” but also by the plain language of the Preamble of the Constitution of the Episcopal Church and Article I of our own Diocesan Constitution; and be it further
Resolved, That this Convention urges the General Convention of The Episcopal Church to do likewise; and be it further
Resolved, That the Secretary of this Convention is directed to certify to the next General Convention of The Episcopal Church the adoption of this resolution and assure that copies thereof are provided for every Bishop and Deputy to said General Convention.
